Simple Present Tense ( Interrogative Mode )

   Sekarang kita akan membahas simple present tense (interrogative mode). Sama seperti mode positive dan negative, hanya saja interrogative adalah kalimat yang di gunakan untuk bertanya dalam berntuk present atau kalimat sekarang. Rumus yang digunakan hampir sama, yang membedakan adalah bentuk V1 dan Subject yang di bolak balik seperti jika di positive mode, Subject dulu baru V1, kalau di interrogative mode, bisa saja V1 dahulu baru Subject. Berikut adalah pattern untuk simple present tense (interrogative mode).

                SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE (INTERROGATIVE MODE)

     Pattern 1 : DO/DOES + S + V1 + O + ADJ + 

     Pattern 2 : QUESTION WORD + TOBE/DO/DOES + S + V1 + O + ADJ + ?

     Pattern 3 : AUXILIARY + S + V1 + O + ADJ + ?

Berikut adalah beberapa contoh kalimat simple present tense (interrogative mode) :

1.       What do you want to do today?

2.       Can you bring my bag?

3.       Will she come to my house tonight?

4.       Do you want to eat rice?

5.       What can I do for you?

6.       Do you want to be my friend?

7.       Where does he live?

Simple Present Tense ( Negative Mode )

Terakhir kita telah membahas kalimat present dalam bentuk kalimat positif, kali ini saya akan membahas tentang simple present tense negative mode. Pada intinya semua bentuk dari present tense adalah sama, yang membedakan antara positive dan negative mode adalah di dalam Verb (kata kerja) kalau di positive mode, verb tidak di tambah kan apa-apa, kecuali S/ES, nah kalau negative kira-kira apa yah??

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE (NEGATIVE MODE)

Pattern :  S + DO/DOES + NOT + V1 + O + ADJ

                Seperti yang kita lihat di pattern, pada saat V1 di tulis, di depan V1 akan ditambahkan do not atau does not. Berikut adalah contoh simple present tense (positive and negative mode):

1.       I go to school today. (Positive mode)

I do not go to school today. (Negative mode)

2.       You eat meat every night. (Positive mode)

You do not eat meat every night. (Negative mode)

3.       We walk to the museum. (Positive mode)

We do not walk to the museum. (Negative mode)

4.       Ayu and Mita read a book in the library. (Positive mode)

Ayu and Mita do not read a book in the library. (Negative mode)

5.       Ari sleeps in the bedroom every night. (Positive mode)

Ari does not sleep in the bedroom every night. (Negative mode)

6.       Annisa listens the music in the class. (Positive mode)

Annisa does not listen music in the class. (Negative mode)

7.       The cat catches the mouse in the yard. (Positive mode)

The cat does not catch the mouse in the yard. (Negative mode)

Nb : untuk do not dan does not  dapat di singkat menjadi DON’T dan DOESN’T.
